My Song just got played on "The Voice"

I wrote a song for a Taxi Listing last November and never got the forward - It was for a specific listing so I wrote the song just for the listing. It didnt get forwarded so I just shopped it to a few more libraries and tonight it was played for almost 45 seconds on NBC's The Voice!

If it wasnt for that listing I never would have wrote the song!!

Awesome! CONGRATS!!

That's one part of Taxi some folks forget to mention. Anytime you are motivated to write more music, it's a good thing. Having deadlines and specifications is very helpful! Some successes are direct and some are indirect. But Taxi often has a hand in both.

So cool to find new places for a song that was written for something else. I never get discouraged by songs that don't get forwarded. Assuming the song was good, just not in the right style for a particular listing, it has other lives waiting!
