My very first forward.....

Post by stickboymusic » Thu Dec 20, 2007 9:57 pm

Awww i love this placeWell i joined taxi a month ago and sent off my first submission a few weeks ago - and now i have my first forward. I am so pleased. It was to this listingYoung and incredibly talented INDIE POP-ROCK ARTISTS along the lines of Rilo Kiley, the Decemberists, the Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, the New Pornographers, the Shins, etc. are wanted by the VP of A&R at a Major Int'l Label/Management Co. Vocal/writing talents must be 2nd to none -- they're seeking that someone unique and special. A marketable image is also very important. We've been asked to be quite selective in whom we forward, so submit only your very best songs. Please submit two to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics/photo/bio. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Dec. 5, 2007. TAXI # S071205IR....and here are the songs if you would like a listenhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=7937 ... ream=1Have a wonderful xmas everyomnexxx

congrats-- this was what the regulars around here call a "high bar" listing, which means the screening is especially rigorous, so you can feel appropriately proud of your work! hope you get a call/email from the listing company for Christmas!

Howdy Stickboy -Super bravo to you on your "high bar" forwards-- what great holiday news!! It's so fun to hear about these kinds of forwards, and I am already banking on more news on the horizon in your near future. Both of those songs have such a unique and cool feel-- I especially love the "sounds that we make" track. The delicious little ear candy surprises in both of your songs really rocked my world. So congratulations to you! Sweet dreams! Raags
