Natural Ending Term

Post by MichaelDodds » Wed Aug 02, 2017 4:36 pm

Hi,

If you have two versions of a music recording, one with an audio fade out and one with a natural ending what is the correct term for the version that doesn't fade when labelling the mix please?

Thanks
Michael

Button ending. Or a final cadence? Commonly a V-I.

Could also be called a "stinger."

Here's an old thread that talks about these types of endings:
