Is there a way to select all mix faders and move them all down the same time? I'm guessing most of the DAW's have a simular way to select all faders and reduce all the volumes at once?
in logic or pro tools you go into the "mixer" view, and either click drag, or select a fader on the left and then shift click a fader on the right and all faders between those clicks will be selected. Or click on a fader, and then Apple (command) click on any other fader you want to temporarily "group".
then you just grab any one of the faders and drag it down.
I would be pretty surprised if the exact same thing didn't work that way in Cubase.
If it doesn't work just as above, do the same work of selecting multiple faders and then make a "mix group" and make sure that "volume" is checked as one of the parameters that will be affected by the group movements. Then again, drag any fader in the group and drag it down, and all faders in the that group will go down by the same number of dBs. Cubase no doubt has groups for mix. They can be pretty handy.

Thanks Andy. ok figured it out in cubase. for those cubase users out there...in mixer view just run mouse along track listing on left view window. That will select the tracks you want to move. Then right click and select "Link Tracks". then just grab any fader and will move all selected faders.
Then just select all tracks again and unlink faders by right clicking again.
