Need help with my rock mixes
Hey guys, there are two songs i recently submitted to "Modern Rock"/"Hard Rock" listings but I'm pretty unhappy with how they sound. I figured before I start remixing them I would ask for some advice:]The songs are "The Bloodening" and "The Hills". Thanks, -stevehttp://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.php?artist=stevelemaire

Re: Need help with my rock mixes
Steve, these sounds great as is to me. I especially enjoyed "The Hills", the only thing i could findis that around the 20 sec mark, there's some strings (panned right) playing the main melody line,i would just bring them up a notch.and for "The Bloodening", i would crank up those bad ass drums a bit, not too much, just a little. These are very well put together, nice arangements and production, you shouldn't have any trouble finding homes for these two.BTW, what are you using for drums? is that Battery?good luck,Marc

Or is that not something that matters to prospective buyers?Nov 16, 2008, 2:51pm, marcblack30 wrote:BTW, what are you using for drums? is that Battery? Its EZDrummer. Costs a little over $100 and its absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended to anyone who doesn't have the budget to hire a real drummer:]

No but I'd like to get DKFH for the heavy stuff, I had to use some other samples with the kick drum to get it to sound right. Btw the first two songs on the player on your website have a loud buzzing on them, at least on my computer...p.s. the ones without buzzing sounded great :]
