Can someone explain to me in detail ( my computer skills are limited! ) on how to attach a song ( MP3 ) to a thread. I would love to get critiqued from my peers. My song is in Itunes. Thanks!

Thanks!Hi - you can't attach a song to a thead (mp3). All you can do is provide a link, either to your iTunes page or directly to the song. I'm not sure how to do that - obviously in order for the song to play, the person trying to listen to it would need to have iTunes. I suggest you upload your song to myspace, broadjam, soundclick or other server that is more universal. cheersHummin'bird PS - If you are a Taxi member, then you should set up a music hosting page... you'll need it to submit your music on line.

Thanks!Do you mean your song is available for purchase on the iTunes store or that you listen to it on your computer using iTunes? If the song is available on the iTunes store then we will only be able to listen to the 30 secs. sample unless we buy it, I don't know if many of us will do that simply to critique a song. If you mean that you listen to you song using iTunes on your machine then that means the sound file for your song exists on your machine and nobody else will be able to access it unless you host it somewhere on the internet where everyone can access it. As Vikki mentioned soundclick, broadjam, and the Taxi hosting are good starting points. Once your music is hosted on a public server where anyone can access it, you need to link to it from a thread; you cannot attach things to a thread since the board does not provide storage for the files that appear on the threads, they have to be hosted somewhere else. The simplest way to link to something is to just write the URL on the text of your message, for example: http://www.yahoo.com . If it is a correctly formed URL, the board will automatically make it a link. To be more correct, you can use the URL tag by enclosing your address like this: http://www.yahoo.com. If your address contains any special characters (something other than a letter or number, such as @, #, :, etc), you would need to embed the URL on the tag for the link to work correctly. For example: This is a link. You can put any text within the brackets to make it your link. For example, writing:Link to Yahoo! will look like this on your post:Link to Yahoo! You can use the icons at the top to fill in the url tag automatically by highlighting the address and clicking on the URL icon.
