Well, that's one sad song but I liked how you set it up. I liked the verse to chorus lead in, gonna make it easy ta produce and sing.......was hopin you weren't goin where I thought but yep, I guess the hook is the title so there ya go. And a very good one it is.Is this a country tune, perchance?

Thank you. Yeah Its a tear jerker, and yes it is country. I kinda doubt we will ever get a forward on this one unless this is just the thing they need, a big cry your eyes out tune.

I mean, it's great storytelling and lyrically and structurally, but tearjerker is right.Didn't want to sound critical.

Not that mine compares, but "He stopped Loving Her Today", "Thats The Good Stuff", "God's Will" - Martina McBride, "Wish You Were Here" - Mark Wills."Just a Dream" - Carrie Underwood. "Whiskey Lullaby" - Brad Paisley (with Alison Krauss). Just to name a few. Are you saying sad songs don't work well for Taxi ?

Well, I really want to hear this but I'm not able to because I haven't fully joined yet and can't figure out how to do so....but I'm working on it.I am a country lyricist, new to Taxi, but not at all new to writing. THIS is a very powerful lyric to be sure, and I really wish that I could hear it.And...I am curious to hear how that longer bridge works. I'm sure it does with the singing.Very nice flow to the song. I think alot could relate this in a way...to their own lives and circumstances. Extremely emotionally driven....it got to ME and it would get to others as well. Very nice writing. Good team you've put together for this one. In co-writing, the chemistry really has to be there to make it work. I've been blessed to have found that on a number of occasions. I'm glad that you did as well.Jan

Good lyric. I like it. I didn't listen, but your verse 1 and verse 2 structures seem quite different.Dean

I listened and I've already told you that it is A-1....listening made all the difference in the world, even though I thought you had a great lyric there. Just a great sounding tune.Jan
