New Country (Pop) Collaboration and introducing myself

Post by nwheeler11 » Mon Aug 22, 2016 8:10 am

My name is Nigel and I am a country/pop songwriter based in Dallas, TX. I've had a few tv placements, but I really want to take it to the next level (more placements publishing deal) over the next few years or so. I'm interested in finding a collaborator. My music is in the style of Hunter Hayes/Jason Mraz/ Sam Hunt, so it is very Nashville sounding. If you are interested in starting a conversation and swapping tunes, please email me at nigel.wheeler@bracewelllaw.com This seems like a talented group of musicians and I'm excited to get your input on this forum.

are you looking for a fellow songwriter, a singer or producer? it would also be helpful if you could post a link to your work.

Melody Messiah,

I am looking for a co-writer. I play guitar, write lyrics and melodies. I really want to find someone who has a skill set that can complement my skill set. I have done a few co-writes, but it is difficult to find dedicated writers here in Dallas. Here is a link to some of my older stuff: https://soundcloud.com/user-778527234. Please note that my newest stuff (currently in the studio) is much more new country sounding (sounds like Sam Hunt/Cole Swindell/Thomas Rhett). I am also interested in anyone who has production skills and vocal chops. I've had some limited success in music so far, but I know I have a ton to learn. I want to work with someone who wants to build a catalog and ultimately do this for a living.

ok, thanks. i'm not a producer or singer ("just" a songwriter), so i may not be the one your searching for. but if you're still interested let me know, and i'll post a link to some of my tracks.

For some reason the pm didn't appear in my inbox. Can you either resend or send to nigel.wheeler@bracewelllaw.com.

A "Nigel" that writes country music? Isn't that like a classical composer named, "Clem" or "Bubba"? I'm keeding, of course, but I listened to the tracks you posted, and I liked what I heard. I especially enjoyed the gal singer on the duet.

Mojo,

Thanks for the kind words. The female singer is the real deal and I will share your compliment with her. Maybe "Clem" is the way to go--So authentic sounding-That's funny.

Steve,

Sounds like Nigel (the Hamster) needs a song written about him.
