New member as of Saturday! I just wanted to give a big hello to you all. The last time I was with Taxi was when they had the cassette burrito. LOL! Anybody remember those? I didn't place anything, but also can't say that I tried hard enough. I still have the 12 or so rejection letters in a binder somewhere. But I am older, more determined, and have a lot more music to share now. Most of the music I put here was performed with my band Nightwolf. Our biggest influence growing up was Carlos Santana. Our biggest gig was opening for Los Lobos about four yrs ago. We have 2 CDs of all original music (Just For You)(Crazy Moon), and are on ITUNES and other sites. I am the primary songwriter and lead guitar player in the band. I sing a little when forced to do so, but am primarily a songwriter. I also uploaded some country songs in demo form. "Last Kiss", and "Tell Me Why" were recorded in my living room with hired vocalists, so sorry for the recording quality. My wife Kimberly's favorite song is the one I wrote, named after her, and played for her on our wedding night. It is also our biggest seller on CDBABY. It is my favorite song to, and after 14yrs, every word is still true. So that's me in a nutshell. I guess the rest is yet to be written. So anyhow, hello again, I hope you stop by and have a listen and give me your feedback, and I look forward to meeting you and hearing your music too.

Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. So much to learn here. I feel pretty stupid asking this, but how do I find the link to my Taxi page so I can put in in my sig? I dont think I have the right one up right now. And how do I post a picture? I know it says avatar, but the only think I know about that is that it was a pretty cool movie.

Posting a pic and uploading an avatar are kinda different, kinda the same; you can upload an avatar pic, but there's a size requirement. Generally, it's best to have any pics you use in this forum hosted elsewhere, due to size requirements, and you'll still probably need to re-size your avatar, whether you upload it here, or have it hosted.

Click "User Control Panel" in the yellow strip, up top, then look under "Options", click "Edit Avatar"; re-size your pic to 90X90 pixels by any means necessary, upload it to a photo hosting site (most have tools for re-sizing) and enter the link to your edited photo in the field provided. Otherwise, you can enter the URL of any hosted image, highlight it with a click+drag and choose "Img" from the menu. HTH

Thank you all. I need to read up on the ins and outs of this forum to figure out a couple of things. Still cant link my taxi homepage. And not sure what website to grab the avatar from. Everything I try is too big, and I can't resize. But I will figure it out this weekend.

Yes Los Lobos was a great gig. It was them, Ozomatli, and the Tex Maniacs. I actually got the gig though Sonicbids. It's the only one that ever panned out, but it was the best gig we ever had.

I will tell you guys at a later time how our now EX-roadie got drunk, raided LL tent, ate their food, hit on some females, and then topped it off by filming our set without pressing record on the camera. I wish I was joking. I still cant figure out why they didn't call us for another gig....

Even if it was a one time thing, it was an honor to warm up the stage for them. Here is a picture of Me, my wife Kimberly, and David Hidalgo from Los Lobos. He was really nice and we stood next to him back stage watching the rest of the show. I gave him our Crazy Moon CD too. I really hope he listened to it before it became a coaster.
