New Publisher Questions
Hello,I was interested in starting my own publishing company. I've researched it a lot, and all the sources repeat over and over, "it's easy to setup your own publishing company, but can be very difficult in placing songs". I was wondering, if I did start my own publishing company, is it "legal" for me to utilize Taxi listings to submit music on behalf of my songwriters and bands? Thanks.

Re: New Publisher Questions
I think TAXI answers this in their FAQs - "TAXI memberships are individual and writer-based. That means that if you write your own songs, or you are the primary writer in your band, you can join TAXI. The rule of thumb is you can send in any music you've written or co-written, but can't submit for friends. You can sign up in the artist's name, in care of yourself (if you're a manager or publisher), and administer the membership for them." They ask you to call toll-free for more info
