Even negative feedback would be great

Hi Eric, welcome. It'd help to know your intended usage--I could focus my comments better. Is this to be a demo so you could pitch it to other artists? If so, which artists? Are you looking for a recording contract as an artist yourself? Recording just for fun? Aiming for broadcast/master quality (probably not as you said "no input" on that)? If so, do you want comments on the playing or will you hire/beg other musicians? Did you want comments on the lyric? If so, request you paste it into your post.I'm happy to give you inputs, so I'll check back to see if you reposted and addressed some of the questions above.Vince

Liked the tune, lots of nice harmonies. One thing was that the vocals seemed very far away, like the singer(s) were not anywhere near the mic... The guitar had much more closeness. Because of that I had a hard time hearing the lyrics. Also it is always a good idea to post the lyrics as well, as it is very hard for anyone to understand all the lyrics on the first listen or to critique them without reading them as well.Sounds like you have great potential and the song seemed put together well and the harmonies were very good. I just think you need to work on the vocal presence and the mix/mastering aspect...(don't feel bad, I have the same issues with my stuff ! ) Also, while the melody was very nice, I thought there could have been more variation and buildup from verse to chorus...but that all just my 2 cents.Anyway, very solid effort and I due here alot of potential in the tune, but hard to say what taxi would think without a listing to critique it for. Nice Job!,Q

The was noise at the begining before the music started and I think I could hear it throughout the song. High freq hiss. Tape? A little bit of timing issues when the voc first starts then it sorts out quickly. Are you using compression on your voc? I wonder if perhaps you are using too much which would explain the mismatch between the instruments and voc. Although on the second listen it wasn't so bad but the voc could use less of what ever effect you are using to make it seem deeper in the mix.Its a good start. I would consider more instruments. Percussion at least.

To Vince. I guess I would looking to pitch to other artists, I'm not looking to be an artist myself. So I guess I would like comments on the lyrics and overall song arrangement. Thanks

Hi Eric...I will be honest... I read the lyric first and expected to not like the song.... but I did.... you sung it well, with emotion and it worked for me... couple of points...You might want to cut down the amount of chorus variations...when you said i do i thought it was a liewhen you said i doi had to wonder whyMaybe this one as the main chorus and the ending one as well.... it makes it harder to latch onto the hook when it changes every time around... maybe put a rest before the chorus to give it more definition.... right now V's and C's run together.... a break might be needed to break it up as well... you kinda have one but it follows the same pattern as the V's...Last point maybe change up some of your ending rhymes.. "man/can", "inside/hide" etc.. to make them less predictable.. make it a little more interesting lyrically... basically it's all been said before... so try to say it in a unique manner... see what I'm saying? All in all it didn't suck and grew on me with each listen, good stuff...Peace, Geo
