New with ORCHESTRA Added Bullet Punch!

Post by k o star » Fri May 08, 2009 8:11 pm

Just added new Orchestra elements... don't know if I messed it up?Bullet Punch! ID2:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... estigative Drama #2My second INV Drama track...Need feedback on whether my approach was too aggressive (ie. distortion wise, drums...etc.) for this one?Bullet Punch! ID2:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... GH/UPTEMPO INVESTIGATIVE DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an East Coast Music Publisher who has secured dozens of Film/TV placements for TAXI writers over the years. He is looking for exciting, driving beds ranging from Industrial Techno Rock to Orchestral styles that have a high intensity, powerful dramatic tone. He said "percussion rules", he wants "speed" and said "make it move, make it hot" with a climactic building to the end. He's open to any arrangement or instrumentation, as long as the tone is right. Excellent performances are absolutely necessary. He specifically said he wants to hear tracks that are :60 seconds in length. He doesn't want fadeouts, just clear endings. Broadcast quality is required [excellent-sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three compositions online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Tuesday, May 12, 2009.TAXI # Y090512IDThank U -Kel

Kel,I am not the best judge of this, but .... I personally like the distortion/drums on this. I like the piece. This only thing I wonder is if it hits this criteria:...... a climactic building to the endIt starts out pretty hot, and the build mostly comes in the last 10 seconds or so ... it seems.Dean

Nice track! If you want to build it more to the end, make it hybrid. Add some orchestra instrument with tense intervals.

Really nice piece KO. Massive stereo image. I agree with Orest that some orchestra punches might add build and provide some shape to the piece. You might want to key in on this phrase in the listing too: "Percussion rules". Sometimes building up layers of percussion on a relatively static bed of instruments can add shape to an arrangement. At any rate this track kicks serious buttox and I'm confident it'll find a place. Great work!Erich
