Re: Newbie seeking feedback
Dee, welcome to the best forum there is. Another Brit... way hay!
I had a listen to 'Pockets', and it's clear you can not only write a good song, but record it in good quality too. That's half the battle.
No disrespect, but folks round here are pretty busy, so if you point to one specific track per post, and ask about that track, you won't frighten people off. It's a daunting task listening to a whole bunch of someone's music and making pertinent comments.
Also, try and be specific about where you'd like to see your music going – do you aim to pitch to charts-based artists and publishers, or are you aiming more towards film and TV? In my opinion, with this song, if you're aiming at A&R people, you could tighten up (and shorten) the structure, and it's almost a pre-requisite (at least amongst the Taxi screeners) that you introduce some new ear candy for each new section, to keep the listener's attention. But you're already well on your way, bro.
Nice work.
Nick

Re: Newbie seeking feedback
I listened to Pockets Full of Thanks. Good song, excellent production. Only comment I would make is I didnt think the "country" tag was appropriate, song didnt seem country to me at all. Very good song, very well done, but just not country. IMHO.
