NewJackCity : Village Gets an Idiot...

Hey All, Phil Brown here, NewJack to forums, NewTaxiGuy, Rocker, andsoon to be certified cyber-bum (yeah, that's a word, right?)37 year old, Active Duty Navy guy that's been Rockin' my way around the planet 20 years, frontin' bands and writin' music tryin'to get where most of you are now. Currently stationed in Guam(Beautiful little island in the Pacific between Australia and Japan)but soon to be back in the land of the SUV...and soon after thatretire from the Navy in the hopes of being a full time musician, full time student (of music), and with any time left a Taxi Forum Janitor ; - ] and maybe even a DOT in November...I'm stoked!I took the last 2 months and have just about been thru every single nook and cranny on this site...all the while, excitedly clickin'on everyone's links and listenin' to everybody's tunes and alreadyhave a notebook full of notes, 5 & 10 year plans, 2 garbagebags full of crushed beer cans, 10 new songs and bags undermy eyes...So thanks for wake up call. I've never "officially" attended a Rally, So I'll neither confirm or deny that I'm the NAKED COWBOY...so quit askin'....The hat wassupposed to be a disguiseI'm a pretty simple straightforward Rock guy but understand thatyou have to diversify so I'm writing different kinds of instrumentals to maximize my chances in different genres.My goals are to write for other artists, write instrumentals, andmake a connection that leads to a modest distribution deal formy band projects.I would like to say that I've hit many people up off-line for advice,and to ask questions, compliment/share critisims on music, andsidebar SO after travelin' to cool places my whole life I like to say...Taxi Forum is the coolest village this idiot every stumbled intoTHANKS ML for settin' this upTHANKS Forum members, for keepin' this real (cool)and THANKS for takin' the time.POSTSCRIPT: Please do check out any of my music from the linksand give me a shoutout in the Forum or offline...."Cuz you never really know who somebody is until you hear their tunes - andthen, all-a-the-sudden, you know." HAhahaha....Thanks brother, Havin' lived the Army and Marine life for a time, went to some INSANE schools at Ft. Gordon, done some Joint....ah....wierd duties, ate my share of bad MRE's in the rain, Even lived in a Mountain in Korea for a time, I can truly say..........SCREW THAT Just jokin' Jamie - Very proud of you and the sacrifices you havemade.On a serious note - Hey, 5 points higher on the ASVAB and youMIGHT have got into the Navy as a Potatoe Peeler - This is gonna be fun for awhile...Did you see MojoBone's asquidly too,....pretty soon we'll have your ass surrounded...<grin>On a more serious note, really enjoyed your tunes and interested in the business side of how you're runnin' things....will definitely hit you up from time to time. HAHA! Ya laugh it up.... But any branch of service that has a rear admiral in charge of a bunch of seamen, just isn't right. ;DYa, i got to jump out of 'perfectly good' airplanes and do some other cool stuff... But ya, its alot of getting used to bugs crawling on you while you are trying to sleep, being cold wet and miserable, and eating MRE's... Mixed with a lot of hurry up and wait!I actually did good on the ASVAB. Funny thing is, everyone kept saying.. And... Why do you want to go infantry.....!? I just do part-time now, so its fine. But i always said-if i was smart i woulda gone air force!
