Quote:Does the quality of production need to be A-1 in order to be forwarded on 'broadcast quality' recordings? Where can I hear samples so I know what to strive for in my dinky-ass studio? In Peer to Peer, and in the "Forwards" section. In addition, always listen to the 'a la's' in the listing.Beyond that, if there's a listing you think you have track(s) for, post the listing & the link(s) in Peer to Peer and ask for help assessing if you are on target & if the production is up to par.Quote:And martin... i know those artists are high-bar... I'm not really familiar with what kinds of artists/studio generally ask TAXI for forwards. Are there generally more listings in the TV/Film Best way to assess this is go through the listings every time they arrive, it will give you an idea of who is looking and what they are looking for. You can also ask to get the Dispatch listings (just call & ask) so you can see what kind of thing is being listed there as well. Over time, reading the listings gives you an overview of the market, the things that are 'one offs' and the things that come up more frequently.

Ag! Lots of friendly people with their welcomes!Well, I think I'm going to get a few listings (I think I can access them before membership...) and try working up some stuff to submit to the Peer Review forum. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming. What a tight community!

Hi Daniel! It's nice to meetcha. And to answer your question, the listings appear to very every few months. Sometimes the instrumentalists will come on and complain that the songwriters are getting all the listings (heh) and then we'll swap out and complain that they're getting them all. Seems pretty steady that film/tv has more listings than artist pitches but I could be wrong about that. What I'm saying is, there's enough to keep you busy while you get your footing. Hope to see you hang out more. Sounds like you're on your way to figuring out what you want, which I think is the secret to life. The world is like a big fat walmart. You could get lost in it jes trying to figure out what you're good at and what you want from that. And lqrose, congrats on the two stars, you a big star already!!

Hi, Daniel. Welcome.I like your sense of humor and, not that this is what you're trying for, hear a comedy routine with your view on life (Sounds alot like mine). The "Rock" got me, 'cause my theory on that "tradition" is, "Guess who invented that "tradition". The diamond business". My wife did fine and loves me minus a sparkler.
