Thank you all for your suggestions. I knew I was having some problems with clarity, and sparkle in my mixes, but didn't realize how bad it was until I realized that my speakers needed to be re-calibrated...plus I picked up a matching sub-woofer, and once I get an upgraded firmware file from JBL, I'll be in business again. I got a taste of what my speakers "should" sound like this afternoon, and it made me feel a whole lot better about my ears...a lot to explain, but I'll spare you the details...hopefully by Wednesday, I'll be able to start remixing/re-recording....Hey Doc...just a technicality here, it was the Iron Butterfly, not Cream, who recorded In-a-gadda-da-vida...unfortunately, I've got a couple of kids, who I'd rather them not see me snockered in the middle of the day singing "I'm gonna rock your world", or should I say "I'm-onna-rom-er-wirl"...now if it was 15 years ago...Again, thanks all for the input...it made me realize that something was wrong...Harry
