Quote:Just saw your last post. Bummer. Did you end up attending as an audience member? Ravi's got to be getting up there so any opportunity to see him is probably a good idea.Have you had a chance to check out Allaudin's book yet?MazzThanks for remembering this thread Mazz! Yeah, I saw the show: the venue gave me a pair excellent tickets too. Those who closely follow Ravi Shankar know that he was very very ill until recently so this tour is seen as pretty significant historically: not only could it be his last, but his stop in my town was also something of a first because it was a come-back of sorts. He was a pretty good player that night too - all things considered (he's 87 years old now ).And I put your book suggestion on my must-read list. I'll be sure to dig into it before long. Thanks Again,Allen

Sounds Great!I saw this concert at the Mesa Arts Center. His daughter starts the show and just tears it up. Big group of players totally shreading. Some of the most intense music I've heard. There are more guitarists in the audience than anyone else. Ravi comes on mid way and does a completely different show. He's getting up there you know. A little mellower act, great non the less. You are blessed!Terry Daun
