I do not know Van Halen Songs. I trust that you were spot on emulating the famous Singer.
So here are my impressions : "Ain't Talking 'bout Love" oh the Music is very much how Hector himself used to play with his Musicians.
The Vocalist is so good, yes there is definitively a Panama touch, I so want to dance on this. I mean Ball Dancing, professional Ball Dancing.
Do you know that Hector's Father was a professional Ball Dancer. It inspired Hector's Music all his life.
The Song is completely Pro and the Singer, woah, he is very good. So much ease and know how. The Sound and Mix is a Work of Art. I love the Instrumentation.
It is not Jazz dear Peter. Or it is close to Latin Jazz.
Very often when a Song is perfect, I am running out of adjectives.
Ok; to resume : it is a Forward, I completely agree with everyone.

Lucky are those who are going to be at the receiving end of that Song, you know, those Directors, and Supervisors, and Libraries ...

Take care dear Peter.
