I was actually looking for a Blue Cheer video when I found that MC5 video.Blue Cheer's "Summertime Blues" is just atrocious compared to the Who's version. Yuk! The loudest band I've ever seen? My first concert I ever saw was Cream when I was in Jr. High. They were LOUD! But I had nothing to compare them to at the time (Yea, I'm old! ).I did road crew for Rush once, and got to watch them from right in front of the stage, and they were pretty loud from about 20 feet away! --- I've never been into real metal, but I'm sure bands like Metallica, Slayer etc. crank it up.If you've never seen a Morbid Angel video, I'll bet they're louder than Blue Cheer. Wow, take about extreme --- death metal at its finest! Ern

Alright, here we go: THE most distorted hit EVER by a band! The Sonics did this version of "Have Love, Will Travel." It's been used on T.V. ads over the past few years. The Sonics WANTED it to sound like their live shows in Seattle, with bad, distorted P.A. systems that sounded like this recording.Wow! If your ears can handle it, check this out:Metallica's got nothing on these guys! Ern

How about Fine Young Cannibals "She Drives Me Crazy." Did they ever have another hit? --- I've heard the lead singer can't sing the falsetto part live, and maybe they're right! That's career suicide unless you're the Temptations, Smokey Robinson etc. :Ern

Ahh, I forgot about "Good Thing." They were both good records, but what have they done since? Seems like they were on the road to stardom, but such is the music biz! Ern

It's one thing to have a few hits, it's another to be nominated for three Grammy awards.I was checking out some of their other stuff and I really like portions of "Don't Look Back" especially the sound and feel of the intro. Sort of a throw back style in parts of the record. http://www.mtv.com/videos/fine-young-ca ... back.jhtml

Can't believe nobody's posted this one yet. Brings back memories of eating Captain Crunch out of the box and beating up on my little brothers.
