Only have to listen to 5 seconds..
For all of you instrumental cue folks out there! I just started on this cue and the melody seems vaguely familiar. Hoping I haven't lifted it from somewhere. The melody in question is right at the head of the cue. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if you've heard it somewhat close to this somewhere. Btw this is a rough. Thanks a bunch! Best, John

Isn't there an app that assists in identifying existing songs/tunes?
It does have a vague familiarity to it, but I don't have the brain catalogue to state it's a rip of something.
Sounds good, whatever it is.
HTH.

Hey John!
It reminded me of “Best Day of My Life” by the American Authors, but I wouldn’t say it’s a ripoff by any means if that’s the song it’s reminding you of.

Great sound as always! Enjoy hearing your stuff!

It sounds fresh and original to my ears. Nice job! I don't sense a lift here of any kind. I think sometimes as writers we question ourselves when we create something that sounds instantly catchy. You have to get over that fear and let it all hang out at some point.

I read that when Paul wrote Yesterday, he went around asking many of his peers if it was lift because in was just so instantly in the pocket...so you're in very good company with your concerns.

Hi JohnnyP great track, sounds well thought out, and put together very cohesively. It flows well, and puts a smile on my face as a feel good song.

It reminds me of two melodies, but I can't remember either. As a listener, I know that both of those melodies are high quality, so I associate your Piece in the same ball park - I am thinking that it is quality. You needn't worry about copyright, because any relationship to melodies in real life, is purely coincidental.
