Very nice indeed. Only thing for me is when you say the words missed it. Too quick and doesn't flow for me. Missed....it is my take. Just a thought. Nothing else to fault for sure. congrats
Thankfully, while growing old is compulsory, growing up remains optional!

My two cents would be correct the pitch problems that have been pointed out and submit. Worth the $5!

well...they're looking for contemporary stuff here, and this doesn't sound very contemporary to me. the first thing that gives it away is the long intro. and melody wise it's too flat, not enough variation between the sections. it all sounds the same both pitch and phrasing. the sound of your voices also dates it, i would consider hiring more contemporary sounding singers. also, contemporary songs don't seem to have instrumental interludes, they tend to go straight to the second verse. i have a feeling that you really don't have much interest for what's going on on the mainstream charts, like most songwriters above a certain age :P

if you submit it, i would be curious to know if the screener agrees with me.

Thanks for taking the time to provide the critique - you’re likely correct on all counts and I can’t argue with any of it. The song wasn’t written for the listing but just happened to be wrapping up around the same time the listing came out so I figured I might as well. I’ll follow up in this post either way.
