Looking for some feedback...Do you think it has enough "Americana" instrumentation? first time at doing this genre..http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... ueDispatch listing is as followsPOP/AMERICANA-INFLUENCED SONGS in the general range of Wilco, John Mellencamp, Ryan Adams, Ben Harper, etc. are needed by an Independent Film Producer in post production on his latest film. This film is a comedy along the lines of a Christopher Guest film, so lyric subjects shouldn’t be too heavy or dark. They prefer the lyric subject matter to revolve around patriotism to one’s country or loyalty to their hometown. Stylistically, these songs can be Pop or Rock based with a touch of Americana instrumentation. Male or Female vocals are okay, but performances should be excellent. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. As always, we will notify everyone via e-mail, whether your submissions have been Forwarded or Returned. Submissions must be received no later than Noon, Pacific Standard Time (California time),Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008.
