original compositions only?

Post by tjr » Sun Sep 28, 2008 4:49 pm

Hi,If the listing doesn't specifically say one way or the other, is it expected that pieces submitted are original compositions (or at minimum copyright held by the submitter and/or public domain)?...or can you submit covers of tunes you don't own copyright on?(The recording itself, of course, would be original.)

Don't submit cover tunes unless a listing specifically asks for cover tunes. You'd be wasting your money. The listing are always pretty clear about whether a client is looking for covers.
