Overseas PROs

Post by samonbass » Mon Dec 08, 2008 1:17 am

Hey everyone, just a quick question.....I live in Australia, and have heard/read that if my tracks get used in can take up to 2 years to get the money. If I became a member of BMI (instead of my membership with APRA), would I get payments quicker? I noticed on the BMI website, you can be a member even if you are not in America.Thanks,Sam.

hi samit's correct that in most cases it takes some time (about 2 yrs) for royalties from foreign countries.re. if you can be a member of BMI or not and what the consequences would be (..tax, etc), I think you should write/call BMI and maybe the tax office in your own countrybest of luckmartin

Thanks for the reply Martin, I sent an email a couple of days ago to BMI, but have not received a reply as yet.
