I am slightly confused by my latest return for this song:

Anyone know what a "nice pedestrian feel" is?
This was the feedback:
What I like most about this song
Brian, what a nice pedestrian feel this song has!
I think you could improve this song by
To get this more on track you might want to take a different approach on the musical and vocal side. Try to give it a steady strum with an indie edge on the guitar. Then match that with a bit more of a Head and the Heart styled melody.
I returned or forwarded this song because
Melodically this song isn't delivering the indie folk moments they're after.
It was for this listing:
EMOTIONALLY UPLIFTING INDIE FOLK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a highly-successful “TV/Film sync-oriented” Record Label founded by a Big Deal Producer and a team of very successful industry veterans.
This Label is searching for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could be found on a playlist with the following references:
"Saratoga" by Oliver Hazard
"Don't Show Your Weakness" by The Head And The Heart
"Chapters" by Rosie H Sullivan
Please submit super-good Indie Folk Songs with lots of emotionally upbeat energy and positive vibes! Your submissions should have ear-worm melodies, catchy choruses, with fun, positive, and well-crafted lyrics. Great musicianship and Indie Folk instrumentation that's in the general stylistic ballpark of the reference Songs will work best (think acoustic guitar, drums, bass, etc.). Please make sure that any virtual instruments or samples you use are very realistic sounding. Vocals that nail the stylistic vibe of Indie Folk are needed, as well.

Re: Pedestrian?
Brian,
the imagery that springs to mind when I listen to your song is that I'm strolling through the park, amidst a folk festival with the music coming from a stage nearby. So, to me, pedestrian when used in a positive sense would suggest that the tempo and rhythm give that "walking pace" feel to the song. Maybe I'm too 'on the nose' with that, but that's my first impression.

Re: Pedestrian?
I might agree with Alan. But I think I would lean to more to the definition of personable? Like it's the song of the common man. A pedestrian by definition (as you know) is just any person that is walking. So I think this song can easily be grabbed on and understood by anyone. Nothing fancy, just a simple, pedestrian approach

Re: Pedestrian?
Thanks Alan - that is definitely a possibility and I like the idea of that folk festival.

Re: Pedestrian?
Hi Musicmonk, thanks for the suggestion. That is kind of the meaning that I took from it, too.
