Quote:do whatever, just play from the heart...you'll be fine. As many of us already know, Aub, you GOT the chops. So chop. TedThanks Ted! I think we can pull off either an all live acoustic thing, or a CD band plus live performance. Just need to chew on it a bit to decide which foot would be the best to put forward. Now if I could just figure out how to smuggle our dancing penguins on the plane, then we could really put on a show Aub

Stick that's pretty cool of you to offer. If you don't want to tackle jazz, I'll pick up the slack on that end. I've been playing jazz piano for many years and I have a post-graduate degree from the Holiday Inn school of music in performance with a minor in partying. If you have a lead sheet, I can swing it!See you in November!!Mazz

Ha ha! Man, I wish I could play that stuff, well, I mean play that stuff well enough to get paid for it. I keep saying I want to put together a jazz trio of "wannabe jazz players" so I could get a little better. But who has time to practice!?

I just wanted to add to Stick's generous & cool offer.... hopefully we'll all be jamming together anyway, but if I can help with back-up vocals & stuff just let me know. I will mostly likely be hanging at the smaller open mic. I'm a very visual person, so if you can provide a lead sheet I'm usually pretty good at improvising if I can see the chord progression. One thing I will say is the audience at both open mics is very very receptive. But having a couple of friends with you up there sometimes can help Hummin'bird
