Wrote this one based on a recent experience. Got some more work to do here. Please feel free to comment. Hi WilliedIf it was me, I'd cut back to three or four verses. Take your best lines and shorten it. Time the whole song to be four minutes or less. Also, for your chorus, I think it would sound better if the last line rhymed with the first two lines.Yes I'm playing for tips and beerAs the crowd begins to cheerJust one man playing his songsMove over Hank I'm (finally) here.

Pitterpatter, I agree it does need to be shortened I am going to repost the song with the changes.I'm going to try singing the chorus with the change you suggestion then decide on the line.Thank you for you suggestion, appreciatedBill

Bill, I really like the protagonist in your song here. I like how he sees this "insignificant" event as an important moment in his life. And possibly the start of a great career while the band is getting stoned. I think this is very unique. What is your intent for this song? Commerical country or your own peice? That would have a lot to do with how I'd critique it.Andy
