POD XT & Windows 10 conflict?
Hi, everybody.
So, today, I hooked up my POD XT to the laptop, intending to record for the Classical Piano listing, and, after several false starts, finally got the internal mics turned off and the POD turned on. Then I discover that there's just no audio going to my Sony ACID 5.0, so I switch to the SoundForge 8; same problem. No audio, and I did everything I could think of. I even got the new driver for it, and Windows says the hardware is working (even though it isn't). Oddly enough, I could hear it just fine through my setup, but I don't listen directly from the computer as I record (as the PODs don't do that). I even tried unplugging the POD and trying to plug the keyboard directly into the 1/8" input, but no success. Any suggestions that won't include rushing down to the store and buying (a) a Mac, (b) a different interface or (c) a small home recording studio? (Not an option right now, for sure!)
Thanks,
Merryband

Maybe have Line6Monkey look for a firmware update? That's all I got; barring that, you may have to look into a newer interface. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Thanks, Mojo. I did pop over to the Line 6 page and download the Monkey again. I guess I had it in my old computer, but not this one, although until the windows 10 update, it was working just fine without it.
Hoping this will work. I can't afford a new interface right now, and I couldn't get one in time for the Classical piano listing (somewhere around 1 am Monday morning), anyway.

And..... it WORKED! Downloading Line6 Monkey again and upgrading the software in the POD XT itself fixed the problem. I have sound input again!
Thanks bunches, Mojo!
