Second Forward

Post by geoffrey » Thu Oct 02, 2008 3:22 pm

I feel very lucky this week. My second forward.http://www.taximusic.com/download/155967/Vows.mp3I was a member a long time ago when taxi was on AOL in the early '90's, when you had to send in cassette tapes.....remember those things? Send them in by snail mail!!!!! Everything I sent in was returned but had high scores and lots of helpful info. Usually, too much synth sounding patches/samples. After licking my wounds I realized they were right, but I couldn't afford to join a second year. Since I re-joined in August I'm 2 for 4....that's why I feel lucky. Of course forwarding is not the last step.....is cashing a check the last step?I think I'll drink wine.

Thanks....here is the listing:RELAXING AND MELODIC NEW AGE INSTRUMENTALS are wanted once again by an Austrian Production Company with Major Distribution, for a comp CD that will be marketed and distributed to European Wellness Hotels. This company is looking for very relaxing pieces that still have interesting and compelling melodic elements. Simple structure and instrumentation is all that's needed here, but the melodies should stand on their own. Meditative music that is smooth and easy to digest by the listeners could really hit the mark here. This company is not interested in solo tracks (piano, acoustic guitar, etc.) but rather a meeting ground between a full arrangement and a solo - sparse and simple, yet forward moving with complimentary instrumentation. Great performances are needed as always and these songs must be broadcast quality. Their deal is a non-exclusive license along with mechanical royalties paid per unit sold. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than September 10, 2008. TAXI #Y080910NA

Hey Geoff,Congrats. Two in one week.....that's pretty darn good. Especially on two very diverse listings. I just listened to your new age piece and your rock piece back to back.........Glad I turned the speakers down before the rock track started up. I like them both......man, talk about a guy with many talents.......Here's waiting for the third forward.DerekBTW Thanks for the kind words on my track....
