I'm new to all this, so not sure what's "normal."Someone already said it, but I hope the deals come as quickly and rapidly as the forwards. My best wishes to all!Derek

Hey SteveOf course, being french Canadian helps! Glad to hear things are going your way. Have you submitted for the Hockey Night In Canada theme song contest? A Fat 100,000 dollar check would really make your week, although you need not trouble yourself as I sent in mine tonight and , well, we all know who will win....Mewman

Steve:I feel a group hug coming on here! I just noticed the other day that I hadn't submitted anything for a whole 3 months!I think doing fairly well out of the gate and then getting 5 returns in a row sort of knocked the wind out a bit ya know...... Perseverance and having thick skin works wonders in this business..... I did really well on the last round so I'm feeling back in the game now! Anyway, nice thread and big congrats to all! I'm really looking forward to meeting you and everyone else at the Road Rally!

Yep.... it's definitely hard to keep up on all the forwards lately! Congrats to all those getting forwards... and best to you all as we go through the selection process -- then on to placements. Remember to keep posting in in the forums if you have questions about your pieces, and hopefully we'll all keep learning and growing -- and most of all.... KEEP GETTING FORWARDS!

Re: Racking Up Forward Momentum
Well, seeing "first hand" the successes both with respect to forwards and deals, that's one of the great things about this forum. Now, not all "successes" are success by everyone's standards but generally speaking, knowing personally the people that have gone from "no chance" to getting music deals (me included) is pretty instructive and I get a lot of inspiration from that.I get a fair dose of "humble" too... there's LOTS of people out there and in here getting deals so I'm not not unique or the best that music has to offer.Bottom line for me... this forum is filled with "regular people" living in all kinds of places. If they can do it then so can I.
