Re: What equipment do you use?
Hey guys,What I did to my room is:Control room:My room was drywall. I put carpet on the floor, and my coolest idea was make a 1x2" frame and found some "arty" fabric to make it 4x6 foot "work of art."Then on another wall, I hung some styrofoam.A photo from my booth:Inside the booth, it's almost completely dead, with carpet on the floor and foam on the walls. Windows are double-pane, with about a 1/4" angle between them:I hope this gives you some ideas! Ern

Anyone knows any good software for RnB and Hip hop?I wouldn't say that there is one particular program/keyboard/plug-in that is "good" for hip hop and R&B. With these genres its really about the percussion and how you use the the sounds you have. Any professional workstation should do the trick. With that said, you still need to stay away from the cheesy sounds I use Logic Pro (studio) 8 and Reason 4. Thats it plus a few refills for the two (most of which are free). If you have those two programs you can do a lot of hip hop and R&B.Between the 2 programs what I find is that Logic has better drum sounds and kits, althoughReason has decent drum sounds and I still like Reason's pitched 808 kick best. Reason annihilates Logic in the synth department IMHO. I usually rewire reason into logic to use reasons synths with logics drum kits and mixing tools. If you have logic studio you have the sounds to write broadcast quality hip hop and r&b, you just have to dig in and really learn the genre.HTH-Steve
