Re: Pickup recommendations for my strat?
You're welcome, jazzstan. I've been really happy with 'em. I'm playing through an old Fender head, and I use a boost pedal to fatten up my sound. Needless to say, the noise can get out of control unless I find the one magic spot like you said. These things are dead quiet. The Kinman Blues set is his "aged" set; nice well-rounded tone, but not too hot. The bridge pickup that comes with that set is actually not one of the "aged" ones. I guess a lot of people like to have a hotter bridge pickup. I ended up trading places between the bridge and middle. Perfect.

Put laces on my strat, took off the tremlo bridge and put on a fixed bridge.Sound is 100% allman bro's blues.I play a half step down so bending strings works for me more so than the tremlo.Doc

Let us know what you end up doing, Matt. I always like hearing about guitar mods.
