Actually you should tryreading ProTools for Dummies, there is a lot of info about basic recording and production techniques and is very user friendly to read.

Hey, I haven't used the Videos for Pro Tools, but I bought and used "mixing with the pros" and the melodyne tutorial offered from ask video, both of the videos that I have are excellent, they've got example videos up on their site, I'd give them a try. The only thing is that pro tools 8 is coming out in December, and it looks like a total overhaul of the DAW, so all of the tutorial stuff is going to be based on Pro Tools 7.0 or 7.4....Here's the link for the Ask Videos: https://askvideo.com/index.php?cPath=26 ... 54fbb34d64
