Anyone having trouble installing EWQLO?

I'm finally getting around to installing EWQLO Platinum and I cannot get past disk 8. I've been trying for days now. I cannot babysit the computer so I'll put a disk in and come back later (sometimes hours later) to change it out.I have a VisionDAW XP 64bit system which is 1 rack space and does not come with a DVD drive so I'm using an external FW Lightscribe drive as my install drive.It works fine on disks 1-7. I think I have a bad disk 8 but the weird thing is I've made it past disk 8 before by de-installing the strings and starting over.Pretty frustrating since the library is 16 DVDs and I can't get it past disk 8!Any insights welcome. I've opened a ticket with tech support over the weekend but I figure they won't get to it for a couple of days.Bummer!!Mazz

Try another DVD drive. I had the same problem when I was installing Gold Bundle, and the disk worked fine on another DVD drive. In my experience, this is very common.HTH- JH

Thanks jh,Yeah, I totally suspect the drive now, especially since I wrote this I was able to get all the way up to disk 11. I'll know later if that went well.Thanks for the response!Mazz

Hey Mazz,Yeah I had the same thing when installing Native Instruments Komplete 5... everytime I got to Disc 8, it would bail out... contacted NI they sent me a replacement dvd bundle... Disc 8 - same problem... it was my drive for sure... I tried to read the disc in a macbook pro - thing read the disc like a pro, no probs there... So I would def suspect the drive.
