if you can't make electronica tracks with what you listed, it's not your genre, and you don't have the right production skills - move onbe who you are and be that well

"Why reinvent the wheel"Because there are already millions of people out there who can make wheels! There's nothing wrong with making a better wheel, but my goal is always to come up with something more personal.Plus my brain isn't loop-oriented.

I've done some rock-electronica stuff, more leaning toward rock but I find the Alesis DM5 to be a great source for electronica drum sounds if any one is interested...just my two cents...or with the way the stock market has fluctuated, it's my one cent opinion.

Zebra 2 is probably my favorite software synth... it has TONS of pro preset packs available (*cough* I've made a few myself) so even if you hate tweaking you are sure to find something you'll like.

FWIW I really like cakewalk's Z3TA+. It has 6 oscillators, a bunch of LFOs, an XYer, amazing filters and a nice built in appegiator. This synth is really deeply tweakable and just cries out to be explored. The sounds you can get from this thing ranges from gnarly in the xtreme to smooth pad like sounds....I love it. With it and Stylus I'm pretty much set for electronica...Oh yea it cost me $60 a few years back...not sure on price today though....Derek
