second forward!

Post by dommydom » Sat Sep 20, 2008 7:00 pm

woot. had 2 songs returned and one forwarded for this listing:Y080822SSSINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS WITH VOCALS (male or female) are wanted by an established Music Publisher in Los Angeles. This company has TONS of Film/TV placements and has signed several TAXI writers. This is a wide range stylistically - everything from the more left of center Regina Spektor or Elliot Smith to a more Pop Sara Bareilles or Jack Johnson. This publisher is looking to build their catalog quickly as more projects present themselves and the needs for this genre become more urgent. Lyric content is open, but the tone should be universal as to apply to many different scenarios and characters. Excellent performances are, of course, absolutely essential. A current and contemporary tone is necessary, regardless of the stylistic approach or tone. The sound quality must be excellent (solid demo recordings are okay as long as the quality is there). They offer a non-exclusive, 50/50 split deal - you keep your original copyrights. Broadcast quality needed. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than August 22, 2008. TAXI #Y08082The song forwarded was Full Of Fire. Its on my myspace if you want to listen!

Wow! Excellent song! The drums actually do sound like Elliott Smith (who was an amazing drummer BTW).
