No but the new assistant that you'll be able to afford after you create brilliant music with it will! One can dream, right?

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

I'm guilty!! ibanez468I think we all are but there's no excuse with Atmosphere because it's made to be quick and easy to edit. It won't work for everything but I bet if you cornered some top TV composers they might admit that they layer the Atmosphere strings behind their high dollar libraries, even some bottom feeder TV composers (like me!) do. They just sound great!Mazz

Re: Omnisphere
you can edit Atmosphere????? Okay, seriously- this Omnisphere thing looks and sounds amazing. Plus there will be an upgrade path for atmo users. These guys have it going on. Great products AND they know how to treat customers...I'd buy their lawnmower too.

Re: Omnisphere
Check out the way they made some of their new sounds... Eric's video shows how they played drying racks and even set a piano on fire while recording it... coooooool! http://www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews ... wsid=6006I didn't see them set the lawnmower on fire for their recordings though, Dave.... maybe for the super omnisphere 2??

After all, the synthesizer is meant to be used to synthesize. Stock patches are great but the point of a synthesizer, IMO, is to create your own new instrument and sounds that reflect your own voice. It's going to be hard because the stock patches are going to be amazing but, if the editing capabilities are there, and I have no doubt that they are, there's no reason that one shouldn't, with a little elbow grease, be able to create their own awesome, original patches.Anyone up for it?MazzIf it's anything like Atmosphere, just the simple action of combining two existing patches to make a brand new, unrecognizable one is enough to get things started in that direction. Re: Omnisphere
...personally I often combine a patch with my voice, and that makes everything very very unique indeed, yes indeed... not always good, but certainly not recognizable as the original article might be... just ordered Omnisphere now I have to go rob a bank...PS - yes, Mazz, I'm up for it. In fact, that's what I've learned with Stylus... you don't want the screener to go... "oh, another Stylus loop"

Don't ya hate it when their customer appreciation is such that they structure their prices in a way that makes their new stuff impossible to pass up?
