Get to know OSX, there's no point in paying money for both Windows and Mac software unless there's a very special program that you just can't get on OSX. Apple included Boot Camp as a way to wean people off of Windows and also satisfy the gamer crowd. I wouldn't use a Mac as a full-blown Windows unit. You'll still have all of the aggravating Windows problems when the perfect solution to all of these is sitting right under your nose.Windows will just chew up your Mac hardware...and that's not cheap to replace. Most of it can't be replaced by the user anyway...not even the hard drive unless you have a Mac Pro...just something to think about...You misunderstood. I'm a Mac guy all the way through. I'm just curious about the windows thing. All the reports say it really works well on an Intel Mac and there are a lot of processing tools that are Windows only so it could be useful in that way. The only hardware it would likely be accessing would be my DA converters just so I can hear whatever I'm working on. It definitely wouldn't be used in recording or sequencing, I'm a Logic guy for about 10 years now and have no plan to change.

Ahh, my bad..sorry...in that case, I'll say that Xp worked like *normal* on my Intel Mac, only faster....

Well at least you're not biased Like it or not, Microsoft is largely responsible for the acceptance of computers in the home and office environment. It may have faults (like any OS) but you know... it works and has worked a long time for a lot of people. And I'm not trying to start some sort of OS war either, but I certainly think that MS has really gotten a bad rap. That's what bothers me. Much more good than bad has come from their contributions over the years. For the record, I usually don't get bothered by things I read in forums. Sorry 'bout dat.
