Does anyone know how they do that robotic voice effect that you hear on some records?I think Beck used it quite a bit on Midnite Vultures.Thanks

That's called a Vocoder. You might even be able to find some free VST vocoders on the net...KVR or Audiomastermind will probably have one.

Yeah Mark's right, it's a vocoder, which if you find a decent one you can tweak the hell outta the fx's... Daft Punk use it a lot.
