A new Mystery
Ok, I have Kontakt 3 and Sampletekk piano. Something is happenning that baffles me ( well, many things do, but this one is the icing! )I record my track in midi, everything is fine. I insert keyboard, sampletekk, and the first note disappears! I go to the piano roll view ( forgot to tell its Sonar 6) and there,on the first note, is a little black dot. I do mouse over and it is CC 120, all sound off.Who put it there? Not me! And I can't erase it! How do I get rid of that? I need that first note!

Re: A new Mystery
Are you sure the piano is working correctly? I just bought a sampletekk piano and it took a lot of finagling (spelling?) to get it to work. Check all the notes and make sure each one works.Elser

What it is ain't exactly clear. There's a note with a dot over there..." If it's a controller event, I believe you edit those differently than note events.Maybe on the lower half of the piano roll view?Maybe you have to set something to be able to select note-off events.

Re: A new Mystery
Note on the Sampletekk pianos: Most are programmed as multis in Kontakt. They won't work right unless you load a multi. If you load only an instrument with a cryptic name, it might only be designed for the "pedal up" articulation in a multi, for instance. I know for sure that the 7CG is programmed like this.As far as the issue with the CC120, that sounds like a Sonar thing and I'm not familiar with it enough to give a good answer. One tip I can recommend with any DAW is not to start your sequencing at the absolute beginning. Leave an empty bar at the beginning for things like controller setups, etc. If you must have your bars numbered from bar 1, most DAWs should let you call bar 1 bar 0 instead.Good luck!!Mazz

Re: A new Mystery
I'm sure its a Sonar thing. I had some problems before with the EZdrummer changing tempos whenever. It's fixed now, it disappeared! I almost deleted the track and at one time it was just gone!Yes, controller events you can delete them on the piano roll, but I couldn't delete this one.Yes, Mazz, it was loaded as a multi, and sounds wonderful now that I have my first note back!

Re: A new Mystery
BrindaBella,I use Sonar and have for years. If it happens again, look for the event in the Event List View. For sure you should be able to delete it there. I should have thought of that on my post.Glad it's fixed!Glenn
