Juliett,The problem I was having, and it was in the way the 'sampler instruments' file was programmed, was that when I called up the piano in the EXS it wouldn't load all the samples or it would load the wrong samples. I'm guessing, that your problem might be that it's not loading all the samples, hence the white noise your hearing. In the upper right corner of your EXS, try and push the edit button. This will bring up the sample editing window where you assign what sample is triggered by what key etc... You'll see several columns with a keyboard along the bottom of the page. The third column from the left is 'audio files', this shows you which sample (audio file) is assigned to which key. Scroll down the page and look for exclamation marks (!) If you see one this means that at least one of the samples that should be assigned to that key hasn't been loaded. If this is the case there either should be a fixed version of the 'sampler instrument' on Sampletekk's website, or they need to make one.

One is for the notes when the pedal is up, one for when the pedal is down and one for the note releases. If you're only loading one of those sounds at a time, it will probably sound weird.Again, I'm not familiar at all with EXS24 but if there's some similar type of programming going on, you could only be hearing one segment of a sound that's designed to have more things loaded in to it at the same time.I hope this makes sense. You might want to go back and look at the documentation again. This is no slam on the guys at Sampletekk but English isn't their first language so you may have some interpreting to do. Send them an e-mail explaining what's up and maybe they can help you sort it out. I've always heard back from them in a few days or so.Good luck!!MazzHi Mazz, Their pianos work the same way in the EXS, so the 'full' piano would include different instruments for pedal up, pedal down and all the different velocity layers. You can load a strictly pedal up or pedal down version or a fff or ppp version but each one should still work on it's own so even if she loads one of those she shouldn't hear any white noise or silence. What's really funny, my piano includes samples of the pedal hitting the floor and other ambient sounds for super authenticity. I prefer to keep it fairly simple.
