Yes, the install's a little tricky, but worth it, IMO. Check the E-Mu thread for a great companion piece; the Proteus VX composer bank uses smaller samples but has tons of well-programmed vintage keys and drum kits ranging from acoustic to electro-goofy. Works either stand-alone or as a VST plug.

err guys I know I'm South African, but I do have 2 brain cells rubbing together - I followed the installation procedure, dropped the files into the ROOT folder, and nothing works, I mean I'll keep fiddling around, but not having luck with it at the mo (might be something to do with Reaper??? who knows)Take CareB

One of them is named "image files" THIS is the folder you have to put the 8 downloaded content .ytif's into!

It just doen't show up when I'm in the program. But when I check for files on my drive it shows up. Mojo, you use Tracktion, right? Where did you place the root folder within Tracktion?

Do you have Tracktion 3 or an earlier version? They're a little different. In early versions, you can just slap a DLL into the Cubase plugin folder and it will find it. (seems almost everyone has at least one free version of Cubase) In Tracktion 3, I've had to put all the virtual instruments (but not VST effects, go figure) in T3's plug-in folder manually, and it's in a different location. The old path was: C\:program files\Tracktion2\pluginsNew path is: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Tracktion 3\VST Plugins (Independece DLL file is here)Don't remember what I did, now, other than follow the instructions exactly. Tracktion is showing a path to the Yellowtools folder (plugins screen on the settings page) as well. I put the image files in the root folder jes' like in the instructions, and it's workin' for me...

I'm using Tracktion 3 and had no issues either, other than not reading the directions on the sounds themselves the first time around. Once I moved those to the right folder things were good. I always put new plugs into the Program Files\vstplugins folder, but T3 scans that one plus a couple other (I think the Tracktion plugs and MDA plugs are in the T folder).

Ok, I'm still using T2 . . . I've got some time to mess around with it a little today so I'll give it a shot again. On another note, in your opinion is it worth the upgrade to 3?
