Re: HeavyOcity
I just want to know how it works - I listened to the demo's and it sounded awesome but the website - well isn't the most professional looking one and is confusing to work around. What's it's primary function?

Re: HeavyOcity
It appears to be a VI based on a custom sample library hosted in Kontakt 2 player. They probably are taking advantage of the programming in K2 as well. Looks like it's broken out into categories like percussion, ambience, etc. I think it's sound and approach is oriented toward film/TV/game composers. The demos do sound really great. I think it's really an up to date sounding library, a good adjunct to things like Stylus for people who need edgy, evocative sounds. Good find!!MazzPS: You can download the manual from the website.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Re: HeavyOcity
Hey Mazz,Thanks for the heads up - I got sooo confused navigating through their website that I eventually got to a point where there we no buttosn to take me back to the main menu so I got frustrated and logged off - hahahaha - that's how life is these days huh? We always expect everything to be easy - specially when it comes to technology.Yeah it seems like a pretty sweet piece of software... don't remember how I found it though - oh yeah - I was searching orchestral lessons and somehow that popped up... strange... it's orchestral alright... in a sense...Yeah it seems pretty nifty for t.v/film and games... I just bought stylus which should arrive hopefully by wednesday... can't wait to give that baby a go (if my girl read that sentence, she'd take it in a whole new context )Take CareB

The review hasn't run yet, but it's definitely worth the investment. This thing practically writes the cue for you.

Re: HeavyOcity
The demo recordings definitely have a sound, though. Used exclusively, could be too much of a good thing. O'course, for most folks that need one it won't be their first or only virtual instrument. Pay me no mind, jes' thinkin' out loud, here...
