Stylus problem
Has anyone had Stylus lose the current Multi? In my film project I had an entire 8 channels set up with FX and everything and now Stylus won't load it up when the project opens. I didn't save the Multi separately, which now I realize I should have done (DOH!).I'm going to close the entire project and re-open and hopefully Stylus will remember my setup.I'm on Mac 10.4.11, Digital Performer 5.13. Stylus running as a plug-in in a V-rack so it can be accessed from multiple sequences.HELP!!! Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Re: Stylus problem
Thanks Steve! Most of it I had pretty well documented except for the effects. Looks like I'll have to approximate what I had, it didn't come back. Lesson learned: Save those Multis!!!Cheers!!Mazz

Re: Stylus problem
Hey Mazz,Im running same setup (DP 5.13, Stylus, V-Rack) and I have had the same thing happen to me when I switched between different Sequences. I now make sure I save all the multi's... Its almost like the V-Rack resets itself going from one Sequence to the next. Best of luck "reworking" the bit and getting your settings back.- Mic

I have this but it only started happening when I switched to Sonar 7 (along with a new computer with Vista). Since you're on a Mac, not using Sonar... it has to be Stylus. I have projects that used Stylus where everything was fine. I closed it up and then the next day I opened it up and Stylus was blank. Then I had to go through and reload everything, etc. It's a mystery.

Re: Stylus problem
Hi MazzYou are way ahead of me in the tech department, but I really appreciate the heads up.... one day I may need the advice, if I am lucky! I'm trying to get in the habit of creating copies before I make serious changes. That way, if anything happens, I can revert to saved. Afterwards, I can throw out the copies if they are no longer necessary. Good luck.Mewman

Re: Stylus problem
I've been using Stylus for a number of years and this is the first time it's happened. From now on I'm going to save my Multis every time I make a change. It'll be good to have a collection of custom Multis anyway.Sorry to hear I'm not the only one who's had this come up! Maybe they've ironed this out with Omnispere (yum yum!!!)Thanks for all the replies!Moving on!Mazz

Re: Stylus problem
I doubt this is related, but it might be. I've had the issue where I created a multi using some loops from my 'favorites' folder, then long afterwards having deleted that particular group of favorites, I tried to call up the multi and it couldn't find the loops. I guess multi's remember which loops are in them not only by file name, but also by their location.

I've been waiting for a break in the action to do the upgrade but that hasn't happened yet! I never do any major upgrades right before or during a project. Soon (maybe) Thanks,Mazz
