dBpoweramp .. Is it a good tool?

Post by deantaylor » Fri Jul 11, 2008 9:13 pm

Is dBpoweramp a good tool? Any know 'problems' with it? I am just a songwriter. Don't need a lot of bells and whistles. All I want is something to:1. Reliably convert Master wav files into mp3s for electronic song pitching, etc2. Convert 24bit wav to 16bit wav3. Burn demo CDs, if it's 'better' than iTunes (what I use now)I've been using an older version for years. Just upgraded to the new version for a 21 day trial. Thanks,Dean

Thanks,Dean I use it, never have a problem. Don't use it to burn CDs, but for conversions.

I've also used it for conversions and it's always worked great!

Thanks guys. I've always liked it too. But I figured I'd check to see if others did, too, as this version is not free .. $36.Dean

yeah, some good codecs! also, some of the new features are nice .. they help you get the highest quality for a given bitrate. the CD ripper seems good .. haven't used it, yet .. but looked at the interface. the CD burner didn't seem too great .. I need to be able to adjust the volume of individual tracks to make them all play at the same vol on my demo CDs .. don't think you can do that.Dean
