has anyone used Audio Technica's ATH-M50s? they have an ad in feb.'s recording magazine (i'm behind, i know) that makes them sound pretty impressive and they're not outrageously expensive.

I haven't heard them, and found them pretty difficult to buy here in Norway... Still - I've read much nice things about these, and would love to try a pair.If you buy one, let us all know what you thing about them! - until next timefrodo

My current headset list:For vocaltracking -> Sony MDR 7506I find the Sony' way too "disco" for mixing. The high end is just way too much for me to get a decent premix with. For headset-mixing -> Sennheiser HD 650Really the only headset possible for me to make a decent premix onFor sore ears -> Studio K271Actually sold them. Couldnt wear them for more than 60 minutes. Weird as there is initially no indication that they will cause pressure irritation when you first slip them on.

I'll put in a plug for some cans that are on my wish-list Audio-Technica's M-40FS. The FS stands for field serviceable; the drivers, cable and earcups can be replaced without sending it back to the factory.

"For headset-mixing -> Sennheiser HD 650"those are nice, I was really torn between them and the beyerdynamic dt 880's, I just found the beyers to breathe a bit better in the end, but yeah, i like them a lot
in the time of trumpets and guitars, there was an oboe
