I have the ARC installed at home and at 2 studios I work at. I have found it to be a great help in flattening the room response problems and speaker Hype, and I started with Genelecs. At first I wasn't sure - because it makes the speakers sound less bottomy and less crispy. Actually, they didn't sound as good. But, that is because they are boosted in those areas. However, as soon as I did mixes with and without, I was sold. I don't have to "allow" for the sound of the speakers and the room and I can trust them more. It was a big help to me, because I move stuff back and forth between 2 studios and my home studio, so having them all fairly flat makes it much easier. I can trust mixes to work in all 3 places. Doing very good, thorough room readings during the analysis is key.wodinlord

This looks like a cool product. Here are some others in the same vein:http://www.krksys.com/ergo/index.phphtt ... .htmYou'll hear a lot of people saying that this type of technology is a not-very-effective sonic bandaid, and that you should address your studio's acoustical problems with room treatment instead. OTOH, many people who have used it have had good results, so it can obviously work "as advertised" in some cases.A combination of the two approaches is probably a good solution for many project studio owners, since room treatment of non-purpose built spaces can't fix every issue, but getting things closer-to-flat will mean asking corrective software/hardware to compensate less. This is especially important where frequency dips occur, since it's next to impossible to EQ these frequencies "back into the mix."André

Andre, You are right. Definitely, do all you can acoustically first and use this to fine tune. It won't turn a washroom into a control room, but it will help turn a decent space into a really good one.Wodinlord
