Re: Amplitube vs Guitar Rig
I use pod2 often for compressed/heavy sounds (nu-metal tracks and the like). for such things amp-simulations can be great units.anyway, for more crunch or even nice clean sounds I prefer a real amp - I will receive this baby tomorrow morning:yabaaaadabadoooo... a plexi 50 clone. direct, mean and LOUD! having said that, I used pod2 for years and in a number of productions - it's aboslutely possible to achieve good results with simulators, and at the end of the day it's the result that counts, not how it has been made.cheers, martin

Re: Amplitube vs Guitar Rig
So far, from what I've noticed, I can't seem to get a real nice clean, believable sound from GR3. Just doesn't sound like I'm using an amp. If anyone who uses GR3, and is happy with the clean sound(s) that they get, let me know how you got it, I'd love to see if it works with my SG guitarThanks,Harry

I prefer my PODxt to either of the these. I have done some stuff with amplitube and guitar rig, but I think the pod sounds better for me.-Dave

Thanks all for your words of advice. I took the plunge today and bought Amplitube. Just seems like the right thing for me, right now...Harry
