Actually here in the US the term samples is usally used in the way mazz described it...for anything that's based on sampling technology.It may be different in Europe...Hence many music libraries and music supervisors say "your music can use no samples". Of course they are not talking about a multisampled piano, but about loops or phrases. And they are usually fine with comercially available sample CD's which you have bought and have the legal right to use in the manner in which you are using it. But sometimes they do ask for proof...So mazz is right, always read the fine print and make sure you understand it...otherwise contact the company for clarification and if necessary an affidavit. I once got one from Best Service for a product where the license agreement wasn't 100% clear...matto
