The wee "B" !

Post by linziellen » Mon Mar 24, 2008 2:15 am

Hey guys,This isn't my usual hang out but thought I'd venture in! I'm adding a link to this message, if any of you have the time to check this out - from about 1:30 KT Tunstall uses a real nifty piece of equipment I have never seen before, apparently with a name that couldn't be repeated on TV. I presume wee "B" stands for the first thing that jumps to mind lol! I play piano...that's all for now but I'm hoping to get myself some more equipment/instruments as time goes by. Would I benefit from a wee "B" it looks brilliant, do any of you use one and what sort of model would suit somebody just starting out - I presume you can build and add to it? What are prices like?Thank you kindly if anyone can shed any light! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-Fw7TfE8wLinziAlso, is it as easy as she seems to make out?

what she is using is a loop pedal. They are mostly used for playing live, or messing around with ideas at home. I don't think it's very useful for recording as you can do anything the pedal does with the computer. But they are a great bit of fun. Here is the one that I have.http://www.loopers-delight.com/tools/RC ... 20.htmlRob

I have the RC-20 as well. As Rob says, it really doesn't do anything that you can't do on a computer, but it does do it with such ease that I love it. It's probably the best practice tool I've ever used. I'll lay down a short loop and work on melodies, or pull out a pen and paper and write lyrics while it plays.
